1. Please introduce yourself.
i'm hyphen-lost, or h-l for short. this is what we call a "nickname".
2. How long have you been making websites?
since the date listed in my "copyright" notice in the footer(2023).
3. And what got you into the hobby?
my mom used to run a website when she was my age! it was much more involved and even had a community surrounding it, but that's long in the past.
4. What kind of website are you most interested in?
fun ones, ones with gimmicks, and things that generally make it unique. if i can come back to the site after my first visit, you've won.
5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?
what the heck is a "workflow"
i just make up pages as i think of them. nothing deeper than that.
6. Please link to your biggest inspirations.
this is one of them. there will be another when i remember what it was.
7. What's your favourite part about making websites?
looking at the finished product. i'll sometimes spend tens of minutes just clicking through my website with a pervading sense of satisfaction.
8. And the thing you struggle with the most?
CSS, perhaps unsurprisingly. that stuff is EVIL.
9. Do you keep the same layout on all of your pages? Or do you use different ones?
i try to keep a generally copiable layout, but i do try to make each page look at least slightly different.
10. How confident are you with CSS?
decently so. i had to work under way worse restrictions, so this site's css is like a breath of fresh air after being trapped in nutty putty cave for a week.
11. Do you know how to correctly use <dl>?
what the heck is a dl?

i know of javascript.
15. How about PHP?
my mom speaks of it like the devil, and from what i've seen, it deserves that reputation.

17. Are you more focused on content or design?
either/or. it's a balance.
18. Do you own a domain name? If not, would you ever want to?
no. yes, as long as i didn't have to pay exorbitant amounts.
